Due to the good soil quality, long sunshine hours and large temperature difference between day and night, Ma Hongtian decided to come from Yuanmou, Yunnan to Xinjiang to try to grow tomatoes a few years ago.
"In 2018, I established a cooperative with my partner and planted 3,000 mu of tomatoes. At that time, the net income of 1 mu of land was more than 700 yuan."
During the exchange, Mr Ma told us that the technology of growing tomatoes in Xinjiang is very advanced, but the traditional nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are still used in fertilizers. Since he has accumulated a lot of vegetable planting experience in Yuanmou, he decided in the first year of planting, add seaweed extract and mix with other fertilizers.
After using seaweed extract , tomatoes have strong root systems, improved fruit quality, increased organic acid content and soluble solid content in tomatoes, and increased vitamin C content. Now the net income per mu can exceed 1,000 yuan.
He said that after using seaweed extract, the biggest feeling is that the crops have less trouble in the whole growth period, fewer diseases and insect pests, improved stress resistance, and improved fruit cracking and bad fruit.
Seaweed extract can increase the accumulation of organic nutrients in leaves, improve the ability of leaves to resist stress, and at the same time, it is also good for root development, especially for tomatoes before maturity, which can obviously improve quality, promote coloring, and prolong harvesting and preservation.
